Tell Me You Love Me

2015-2017

This series follows the artist’s deeply personal search for an authentic, unconditional bond with his biological mother. Inspired by Paul Gauguin’s travels, it reflects on his encounters with distant island cultures—Tahiti and Martinique—where simplicity and intimacy once flourished, yet were later overshadowed by the presence of the so-called enlightened West.

The works feature women portrayed with quiet directness, scenes of boats, and glimpses of everyday life. Through these images, the series opens a space for reflection on love in its most essential form—love for life, for art, and for humanity—free from expectation, free from condition.
