DANI BACK

Dani Back is an Israeli visual artist based in Tel Aviv. His work spans a range of techniques including painting, drawing, photography, and collage.

Back holds a B.F.A. degree from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. His artistic language moves between figuration and abstraction, often combining elements of both.

Central themes in his work explore the relationship between object and subject, the formative role of the nuclear family in shaping identity, and the aesthetics of pop culture.

Back creates a unique visual language that merges traditional materials such as oil paint, acrylic, and ink with more industrial ones like lacquer spray paint and wood finishes.

His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in Israel and abroad, and is included in several prominent collections.

Alongside his studio practice, Back teaches and lectures on art at academic institutions across Israel.

He is the father of two grown children, who are active in the fields of music and design.
